Interesting Fact
The Napoleon cake has an interesting history. Contrary to popular belief, the dessert was not invented in France and is not directly related to Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. In Russia, the cake appeared in 1912 when the country celebrated the 100th anniversary of the victory over Napoleon’s army. It was then that confectioners created a dessert in the shape of a triangle, reminiscent of the famous three-cornered hat of the French emperor. Over time, the shape of the cake changed, but the name remained, as did the love for this magnificent dessert.
Storage
The cake is delivered frozen to preserve freshness and texture. Store in the freezer at -18°C. Before serving, take the cake out of the freezer and leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes — this is all that’s needed for complete thawing.
